Information about the Vienna letter-mail centre
Please click on the distribution centre of your choice to receive background information.
Our logistics centre is one of the largest and most sophisticated logistics centres in Europe and started operating in 2002. It is the largest of Österreichische Post's 6 letter-mail centres: almost half of the daily letter mail and advertising mail volume is handled in Vienna. The daily volume is approximately 4 million items.
State-of-the-art technology, including 9 small letter and flat sorting facilities as well as one large letter sorting facility, paired with the expertise provided by our 1,000 facility employees, make these top performances possible on an everyday basis.
In October 2013, one of the largest photovoltaic facilities in Austria started operating on the roof of the Vienna letter-mail centre. In the future, this centre, along with the facility in Allhaming, will provide all the energy needed for the Österreichische Post "e-mobility" fleet.
