Award for Our Oak Special-Issue Stamp
Prize for Ecology for the "2017 Technical Novelty" by Austrian Post
On the occasion of the 20-year anniversary of the Austrian Federal Forests, privatised in 1997 and re-established as a public company, Austrian Post developed a unique product for stamps enthusiasts: last year, a stamp shaped like an oak and made of real oak was created.
This special-issue stamp recently received the Prize for Ecology at the 48th Asiago International. The award along with its medal was presented by the President of the Republic of Italy on 1 July in Asiago, Italy, during a festive event.
