Day of issue of our commemorative stamp “Pope Benedict XVI"

The miniature sheet "Pope Benedict XVI" had its day of issue in two places at once: on 4 March in Munich and at Heiligenkreuz Abbey. In Munich, Austrian Post attended Philatelia Munich 2023. The trade faire attracted a large audience and there was a great turnout at the presentation of the papal miniature sheet.

The presentation at Heiligenkreuz Abbey took place in the Emperor Hall. The new miniature sheet was presented during a festive programme with selected musical performances and many guests. It was a dignified ambience for the commemorative stamp issued in memory of the late Pope.
