Domestic letter mail rates for business clients

In this section, you will find all rates for sending letter mail to destinations in Austria. The format, weight, delivery time, and machine processability will determine the rate for your item.

General information about letter mail rates

Choose from three different letter mail products:

PRIO (as part of universal services): for time-sensitive posting and delivery in the E+1 scheme (delivery on the following business day)
ECO (as part of universal services): inexpensive rate for all items (delivery within 2 or 3 business days)
ECO BUSINESS (not part of universal services): especially inexpensive contractual product for business clients; available from a minimum volume of 1,000 items (delivery within 4 or 5 business days)

^{1) PRIO (E+1) delivery time: E = day of posting, +1 means delivery on the following business day (except Saturdays) for at least 95 % of all items.}^{2) ECO (E+2/3) delivery time: E = day of posting, delivery: 2 to 3 business days (except Saturdays) after the day of posting.

3) ECO BUSINESS (E+4/5) delivery time: E = day of posting, delivery: 4 to 5 business days (except Saturdays) after the day of posting. Requirements: ECO BUSINESS: postage paid in cash as ECO BUSINESS letters, minimum volume 1,000 items, machine processability, posting at distribution centres only. Not part of universal services, i.e., subject to VAT, no additional services (e.g., registered mail) available.

4) If posted at any branch, Austrian Post letterboxes or with rural delivery staff based on our GTC, the service is part of universal services and as such exampt from VAT.}

Undeliverable letter mail items will be returned free of charge. For items that are not machine processable, we will charge the next higher rate. 1) Simple registered mail is available for all PRIO and ECO items in the formats S and M letters and S packets. No other additional services are available for simple registered mail.

If you post more than 2,500 items, you will benefit from the very best rates for your PRIO and ECO letter mail items by using preparatory services and discounts. The requirement is to post a minimum of 2,500 machine-processable letter-mail items (without additional services) at a distribution centre or postal branch for large volumes (see download area). The preparatory services listed below are available; you can combine them as needed.
