Product changes and new rates as of 1 May 2025

Based on an amendment to the Austrian Postal Market Act, adjustments will be made to the national letter service as of 1 May 2025.

With the new standard product, "Letter" (formerly "Eco Letter"), which has a standard delivery time of two to three business days, you will now be able to book the additional "Premium" service. This will shorten the standard delivery time to one business day. The delivery time will therefore match that of the current "Priority Letter", which will no longer be available from 1 May.

Important: There will be no changes to the service guarantees of our products. You will still have the choice between our competitively priced standard "Letter" product, with a delivery time of 2-3 business days (E+2/3) and the faster "Letter" with the additional "Premium" service, which offers a delivery time of one business day (E+1).

"Premium" is an additional charge of 0.30 cents on top of the postage fee for the "Letter". It can be booked for all available formats: Letter S, Letter M, Packet S, and Packet M.

There will be no changes to our other additional services or their combination options. You will continue to have full freedom of choice here. As before, you can, for example, use the "Simple Registered Mail" additional service for either an E+1 or E+2/3 delivery. The new "Premium" additional service cannot be combined with all other additional services (exception: Christkindl additional stamp).

For the "Letter" product, you can continue to use our more than 14,000 yellow letterboxes as usual and conveniently frank these items with postage stamps. Items with the "Premium" additional service can be posted in our self-service areas or over the counter at your local Austrian Post service location.

There will be no changes to our international products. For urgent items, our "Priority" products will remain available.

As of 1 May 2025, we will also be adjusting our fees.
